Tryon Campaigners Go Low

The Sentinel received copies of e-mails containing questions that we are well aware the Tryon Campaign is trying to use to smear his closest challenger, Debbie Ponte. You will not see them repeated here in the Sentinel, but this is an embarrassment to the organization who supposedly asked the questions and all of the members of that organization.

The fact that Tryon is that desperate means that he knows he could be in trouble in this election. Debbie Ponte, who is well-respected in Angels Camp as well as Copperopolis, handled herself beautifully in the face of this onslaught by a dirty campaign.

The fact that this organization stated falsely that is supports no candidate, makes this even more disgusting. It seems that there is now nothing the Tryon campaign will not lower itself to to try and get re-elected for 32 years!

This has got to stop! We are calling Tryon and his close friend and supposed leader of that organization out and asking them to apologize publicly for using their organization to campaign for Tryon and actually claiming they are not. What a shame!
