Ponderosa Fire Continues to Grow

As horrifying as this seems, starting backfires is
sometimes the only way to stop forest wildfires.

   August 22, 2012 at 8 AM:  The Ponderosa Fire continues to grow. The total acres now burned is 24,323 and it is 50% contained.
