Ponte on Noise

Debbie Ponte responded to our request of whether she would support a noise ordinance.  She stated,  "As I tour through the District and meet folks I find that noise from Lake Tulloch  and Copper Cove, and also barking dogs seem to be a nuisance and create havoc for some residents of the community. I also hear complaints in other areas of the county of roosters/chickens, dirt bikes, etc., so I believe this is a county-wide concern as well.

"Who Will Care for the Animals"

Who Will Care For County Animals?
Since the Sheriff's Department is unable to continue overseeing Calaveras County Animal Services, we have to wonder who will agree to accept Animal Services come July when it is turned back over to the county .
With budgets so tight, and worse fiscal news from Governor Browns office as recent as yesterday, will the County Supervisors let the animals suffer?   Supervisor Callaway has bragged many times about her Humane Society, which we found out is not part of the nationwide Humane Society.
