Murphys Sanitary District Meets Monday June 11

     In a surprise action at the last Murphys Sanitary District Board meeting, the resignation of Cynthia Trade was accepted after some discussion. Was there something to do with a conflict of interest? Their counsel   mentioned conflicts after the resignation.

   Dear Editor:
     I was hoping that you would continue to do biz notes and talk about the stock market when you went online. Are you discontinuing that part of the paper, my favorite?
    I have a somewhat different slant on what happened with the Facebook IPO (FB). CNBC's  prime morning show, Squawk Box, is filmed right at the New York Stock Exchange.

Gold Rush Day in Angels Camp

     Ed Simms, published period expert on Gold Rush era music, will be performing at the Angels Camp Museum Gold Rush Day, which is being held tomorrow, Saturday, June 9.
    He will be playing and discussing the music of the Gold Rush era (1848 to 1854) throughout the day, with his first program at 10:30 AM and then at the bottom of each hour till 4:30 Pm that day.
     Admission to Gold Rush Day is FREE, and it is the only day of the year in which admission into the Angels Camp Museum is free.   The Gates open at 9 AM Saturday morning and close at 5 PM.
