Disappointingly only 1 person signed up to run for Board of Education positions in each of the three areas up for election.
Marilyn Krause is the only one who filed to run in TA 2, Albert Boitano in TA 4 and Marti Crane in TA 5. There may be a write in candidate for TA 5. We will have to wait and see.

Union Public Utility District to Honor Bill Riedel
The UPUD regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 7 PM 339 Main Street in Murphys.
The first thing on the regular agenda for the Union Public Utility District is to honor Bill Riedel, long time District Board member, who passed away recently.
We at the Sentinel know well how devoted Bill was to UPUD and Murphys. They will miss him.
