Chris W on Water
We are very concerned that Chris W. who is running to clone for Steve Wilensky in District 2, has no clue about water rights.
He stated at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday that he wanted Wild and Scenic, (meaning allowing more of our water to flow downstream) to be the designation of the Calaveras River.

How Much Noise is Too Much?
To noise or not to noise...that is the question. Our Calaveras County Board of Supervisors, in their infinite wisdom (and we say that loosely), plan to enact a noise ordinance in Calaveras County. What decibel level of noise is acceptable is debatable and how many $1000 + decibel meters will be purchased is not an easy decision, since the County policies have killed the economy and they have no "frivolous" money to spend, as in the past.

Dave Haley Responds to Rumors
Castle and Cooke's Dave Haley responded to our e-mail asking him to confirm or deny that Castle and Cooke had hired George Fry.
Dave Haley said "Not true." to our question. Fry was apparently seen at a Board of Supervisors meeting promoting one of C&C's developments and many thought he may be working for them.
Now we can say without uncertainty that this rumor is not true. We appreciate Mr. Haley's response.
