Traffic Accident at Hwy 120 and Priest Grade

  A solo vehicle accident on Hwy 120 at Priest Grade Rd in Tuolumne County occurred at 5:30 PM on September 16, 2012.

    The vehicle rolled about 50 feet off the road and ended up on its roof with two people in it. An Ambulance and fire were dispatched.

   Hwy 120 was shut down for awhile as CalFire battled the fire and the ambulance reached the victims.

Cow on Lime Creek Rd. in Valley Springs

   At 4:32 PM on September 16, 2012, CHP received a call that a cow is out on Lime Creek Rd at So. Petersburg in Valley Springs.

    Use caution in that area until cleared. Cowboy Tyrone is still chasing those "suspicious" goats.

Vehicle Fire on Hwy 108

   CHP and fire units are responding to a vehicle fire on Lakeview Drive and Hwy 108 in Tuolumne County at 11:30 AM on September 16, 2012..

   Apparently a GMC pickup is the vehicle on fire.   Nearly every available unit was dispatched to the scene.

   Six trees were reported to be on fire near the vehicle. Fire arrived on scene at 11:41 AM. A tow truck was dispatched.

Shots fired in Vallecito

   A report of hearing shooting at the Just Like Home residential care home on Ponderosa Dr. in Vallecito was received by the Sheriff's Office on September 15, 2012 at around 10:30 PM.

   No arrest or citations were issued.

Explosion in Arnold

   The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department received a call of explosions on Hwy 4 at 1:15 AM on September 16, 2012.   Another call was received from a resident on Summit View of hearing three explosions.

   No citations were issued or arrests made.

 

Grand Theft at Round Table Pizza in Valley Springs Reported

   A grand theft was reported at the Round Table Pizza in Valley Springs on September 15, 2012.

   Apparently the vehicle was left unlocked. No indication is given if a suspect is know.

"Suspicious" Goats in Jenny LInd

  Calaveras County Sheriff's Office received a report of seeing "suspicious" goats on Hwy 26 in Jenny Lind.

   A deputey responded and cleared the area. We're not sure why they were "suspicious"!. Might be a case for Cowboy Tyrone.

Gunfire in Campo Seco

   Report was received by the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office of gunfire on Watertown Rd. in Campo Seco on September 15, 2012.

   No citation or arrest was made.

2 acre fire in Sonora

   UPDATE:  September 16, 2012 at 11:15 AM:  CalFire reports that they are getting the fire under control.
  
   A 2 acre fire has been reported on 28-Mile Road near Eastman in Sonora. This is in the Knights Ferry area of Tuolumne County.

   Several engines and a helicopter are working to stop this fire. We will update as we get more information.

   CHP are checking out a report of a traffic hazard on Comanche Pkwy on September 16, 2012 at 8:52 AM.

   An apparently abandoned vehicle is partially blocking the road there.   Use caution if driving in that area until cleared.

   CHP is enroute to a reported traffic hazard reported on September 16, 2012 at 8:50 AM at Hwy 49 on the Melones Bridge.

   It is unclear at this time what the hazard is. Use care if traveling in that area.

   The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office was called on September 15, 2012, to report that juveniles were trespassing on West Forty Rd. and that vandalism had occurred.

   No citations were issued nor arrests made at the time.

Arrest Made at Turner Park in San Andreas

   A report was called in to the Calaveras County Sheriffs Office that a group near the skateboard ramp had a bottle and appeared to have been drinking.

    The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department got a call on September 15, 2012 from someone on Hwy4 at Manual Rd in Arnold that a woman is slapping herself.

   Is that against the law? We're not sure!  No arrest was made or citation issued.

Neighbor Jumps Fence in Jenny Lind

      A resident on Berkesey Drive called the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office on September 15, 2012, to report that the neighbor behind him jumped over the fence into his yard.

   The person who jumped the fence started yelling at another neighbor from their back yard. No arrest was made.

Suspected anti-Islam filmmaker questioned by Feds

 
  

The man said to be the filmmaker behind an anti-Islam video blamed for sparking violent unrest in the Mideast and beyond was escorted by deputies from his home shortly after midnight Saturday.
