According to CHP, on June 9, 2013 officers were dispatched to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a building.
It was determined that Jeanine Brown (42) of Jamestown, while driving a 1994 BMW, was traveling southbound on Lewis Ave and fell asleep as she approached the intersection with Pope Street.
The BMW traveled off the roadway and collided with a residence, resulting in minor damage to the building and walkway; but major damage to the BMW.
Brown was transported to Mark Twain Hospital with moderate injuries. No occupants of the building were injured.
