OP-ED....Speaking of "Chatter", Have you ever read a Calaveras Planning Director report?

   A lot of talk has been going on about the Calaveras Planning Director and cohort who seem to be controlling
Calaveras County jobs, the Planning Commissioners, the Supervisors and throwing the voters "under the bus." Yes, she considers anything her opposition has to say as nothing but "CHATTER", to be tossed in the trash.

   Since the Planning Director calls what the "real" people say  nothing but "chatter", we thought we ought to make something clear.

   We totally believe and can see with our own eyes that the real worthless "chatter" is coming from the Planning Department.

   Read the document she prepared for a small project to be denied. Just try to find the facts within the report. Is it more than one page, even? Since ALL land use Planning is totally up for interpretation, her opinion is nothing but CHATTER!!  Read it for yourself!!

   What other departments (especially Public Works) were asked to give input ?  None?  Is her personal opinion and decision that she doesn't like the owner and therefore, will not approve any project for him, violating his rights?

   Why do we see at least 100 other projects that WERE approved without prejudice based on the 1970's General Plan ?  Why are Willis's land use opinions so skewed? Could it be relatives of a nearby landowner with whom she is too well acquainted?

   Why is a letter from a nearby landowner  written like it was dictated by a Planning employee? And how many acres does this person actually own?  20? 

  Why would this landowner, who had the opportunity to buy the land and didn't, be given so much power? Is this the real reason Willis is denying this project?

  And why are landowners with guns allowed to make other landowners feel threatened?
