Cop Likes Comic Books?

   It seems that a former Texas police investigator has been charged with stealing comic books worth hundreds of thousands of dollars from the evidence room  being held for an ongoing fraud case.

   The infamous "chair" that Clint Eastwood addressed during the GOP 2012 convention was purchased and  brought to Washington DC.

   Who bought it? Reince Preibus, the GOP Party Chairman, to put in his office. He says that people make donations when allowed to be photographed next to the "chair".

   Does that make it a "chair" itable contribution?

  Recently it was learned that Dr. Seuss did not have to go far for inspiration for his book "Cat in the Hat".

   Seuss had a secret hat collection, which he added to entire life.

Cow on Ospital in Valley Springs

   A dark brown cow was reported to CHP at 2:15 PM  on Ospital Road in Valley Springs.  CHP is enroute to that location.

   The caller reported that the cow is standing right in the middle of the road.

Communist organization, really?

   Celeste Greig, president of the California Republican Assembly, a conservative political group was quoted as saying "The ACLU is a communist organization." Really?

California Sues S&P for Fraud

   We learned this morning that California, in addition to the US, is suing S&P for $4 billion for fraud in the mortgage crisis rating scandal.

Monopoly has important news...

  In much more important news, the game of Monopoly has a new token, the cat!! It replaces the iron!!

   There was a tweet from @pourmecoffee: "Well, the cat lobby got its Monopoly piece and the dog lobby got 5-day mail delivery."

   Of course, that refers to the US Postal Service cutting mail delivery on Saturdays in order to save $2 billion.

Yes, Governor Brown said "fart"

   In response to Governor Rick Perry's ad to try and lure California businesses to Texas, some have said he is desperate, but Governor Jerry Brown said the campaign is "barely a fart."

   That's Jerry Brown!!

Forty-Niner Relatives Killed after SuperBowl

   The Aunt and Uncle of Delanie Walker were parked on the side of the road in New Orleans following the SuperBowl when a suspected drunk driver hit their car so hard, it killed both of them, and started a fire in both vehicles.

   The woman who hit them at a high rate of speed suffered only minor injuries.

Congressman McClintock in Amador County

   Congressman Tom McClintock will hold a town hall meeting in Amador County on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 6 PM in the Amador County Board of Supervisors at 810 Court Street in Jackson.

Baby Boomers Living Longer but not.....

   In a recent study, it was shown that baby boomers are living longer than previous generations. However, they are not necessarily healthier due to bad diets, etc.
