Angels Camp City Council Meeting

   The Angels Camp City Council meets on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. The meeting will be held at the Firehouse and begins at 6 PM after Closed session regarding litigation and hiring a new Finance Officer.

   On the regular agenda is the Angels Creek Trail construction and a workshop to amend the Oak Tree and Heritage trees guidelines.

Gossiping Government Workers - On our Dime!!

   I don't think there is anything more that can angry a taxpayer then gossiping government employees!

Sandra Jo Park of West Point

   Sandra Jo Park of West Point passed away on March 23, 2013 at Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital in San Andreas.   She was 71.

Columbia Area Planning Commission Meets

   On April 11, 2013 the Columbia Area Planning Commission is scheduled to meet at Eagle Cottage in the State Park. The meeting begins at 7 PM.

Charles "Chuck" Foster Dabler

    Chuck, age 79, passed away at home in San Andreas on March 24, 2013.

Hazard at Hwy 49 and Campo Seco Turnpike

   A dead deer is being removed from Hwy 49 at Campo Seco Turnpike in Mokelumne Hill. Please use extra caution if driving in that area.

Grass fire in Mountain Ranch

     March 27, 2013 at around 2:30 PM a grass fire was reported in the 5000 block of

Traffic Collision in Ebbetts Pass

   A traffic collision was reported at 8:53 AM on Hwy 4 at Big Trees Parkway, the entrance to Big Trees State Park.  An ambulance has been requested.

    Traffic control has been requested and a tow truck has been dispatched. Use extra caution in that area.

CHP assisting CalTrans in Mokelumne Hill

   While CalTrans is working on Hwy 26 near Mokelumne Hill today, CHP will be on hand to enforce safety. Use extra caution if driving in that area.

Angels Camp Museum Lecture Series

   The Angels Cap Museum is announcing that on Thursday April 11 at 6:30 PM there lecture series

Possibility of Showers

   Showers are expected off and on during the day today, as a weak storm pushes through Northern California.

   Another stronger storm is seen affecting our Easter Sunday. No complaints. We need the rain and snow.
