   Larry Buswell of San Andreas, passed away on March 30, 2013 at Mark Twain Hospital. He was 87.

   Fire notified CHP at 3:22 PM that there are some Comcast cables hanging down over Hwy 26 at Baldwin in Valley Springs.  CHP is enroute to the area.

   This lake of oil, being held back from the Bell Sough Wildlife Management Area, was secretly photographed and released to the press.  This one belongs to EXXON.

Governor Browns Water Tunnels Expensive and .....

   Not only has been exposed that the water tunnels to LA Governor Brown wants are very expensive, but they will also require re-routing at least three highways around the project for quite some time, including Hwy 160 in Sacramento County.

Wall of dirt collapses on 2 children

   Two children, ages 6 and 7, who were playing in a excavated basement construction site in North Carolina, perished after after attempts to dig them out alive were unsuccessful.

   The wall of one side of the basement hole collapsed, burying the two children alive.

Fish with Gin-clear blood?

   Scientists have discovered one fish in Antactic waters, who live at depths of 3200' with no scales and "gin-clear" blood.

   Every other known animal with bones has blood with hemoglobin, which binds with oxygen and makes the blood appear red.

   I think I know a couple of people who probably would qualify with that blood.

Ticketed for Using Map GPS

   A man who was ticketed for distracted driving claimed that he wasn't talking on his phone, he was using his GPS mapping that was on his phone.

   The judge just shook his head and said "Guilty" as charged.

PG&E donated $150,000 to Republican Party

   PG&E, the electric monopoly in California, is apparently not hurting financially. Friday they donated $150,000 to the California Republican Party.

   Of course, PG&E also donates to Supervisor Merita Callaway's campaigns (she once worked for them and has a friend).

Black Calf on Poole Station Road

    Use caution if driving on Poole Station Road in San Andreas. A black calf was reported to CHP as walking back and forth across the road.

Angels Police Department Arrests Three

   According to the Angels Camp Police Department, on March 30, 2013 at approximately 11:30 AM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department took a report of a stolen motorcycle.

   Very disappointing is the fact that a bad law is being approved by the Calaveras Board of Supervisors tomorrow, picking on certain homeowners

New Calaveras County Jail and Sheriff's Office now 80% complete

   As of April 9, 2013, the jail project is approximately 80% complete, according to Flintco Pacific.

   Flintco has now used 58% of the change order allowance.

   The new jail is moving along fairly smoothly but not without a few costly change orders.

Traffic Accident in Cottage Springs

   A traffic accident has been reported to CHP at 8 AM on Hwy 4 at Cottage Springs. An ambulance is enroute due to injuries.

   Use caution in that area until road is cleared.

  

Chain Controls

   On Hwy 88, chains are requred this morning from Red Lake Creek to Picketts Junction. On Hwy 4, chains are required from Camp Connell to Mt Reba Rd.

   In Tuolumne County, chains are required Hwy 108 at Long Barn.

Margaret Thatcher Dies at 87

   Great Britains retired Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, died after having a stroke this morning. She was 87.
