LAX names new Great Hall at Bradley terminal

   The new terminal at LAX, called the Bradley, has a Great Hall inside. That great hall is to be named for who else, Antonio Villaraigosa, outgoing mayor of LA.

Children's bus rolls over in Indiana

   A bus carrying disabled students rolled over on a highway near Indianapolis after taking on a trip to the zoo. 

   Apparently caused when a truck changed lanes in front of the bus, a dozen were injured, but no one has died from the crash.

Jets Player charged on guns and drugs

      Mike Goodson, Running Back for the NY Jets, was apparently arrested and charged with 5 gun and drug counts on Friday, after New Jersey State Police found the car he was riding in parked in the middle of Route 80 in Denville, NJ.

Grass Fire reported in Valley Springs

   Some complained that he didn't receive a proper good-bye tribute, but instead talked about the future without him.

Third Arrest Sunday for Firearms

 MIchael Allery Weist, Jr. (32) of Murphys was arrested on Williams Street Sunday, May 19, 2013, for allegedly being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Short Barrel Shotgun or Rifle, and for Altering a Firearm ID Mark, all felonies.
    Weist was booked into Calaveras County Jail by deputies.  This is the third firearm offense of the day for the Calaveras Sheriff's office.

Lodi man arrested at Hogan Observation Point

   Andrew Scott Wathen, (29) of Lodi, was arrested on Sunday May 19, 2013 at Hogan Observation Point for allegedly having a Concealed Firearm on him, a felony.

   Wathen was booked into the Calaveras County Jail by Sheriff's Deputies.

Copperopolis man arrested with illegal firearm

   According to the Calaveras County Sheriff, Jerry Leon Harman,  (55) of Copperopolis was arrested at his residence on Surrey Lane for alleged Battery, a misdemeanor and for being a Felon in possession of a Firearm, a felony.

   Harman was booked into the Calaveras County Jail on Sunday May 19, 2013.

O J Simpson seeks new trial

   After serving 5 years for his conviction of armed robbery and kidnapping in 2007 in Nevada, OJ Simpson is seeking a new trial, based mostly on his claim that his attorney did not do a proper job of defending him.

   Simpson had been attemping to retrieve his own belongings, memoriabilia which had been stolen from him years earlier. Simpson is now 65.

Two dozen WWII vets at Pearl Harbor

   Two dozen of the surviving WWI vets from the aircraft carrier USS Franklin, gathered on Friday for most likely the last time, to honor and remember the late winter morning of 1945.

   The USS Franklin  )knicknamed Big Ben), was only one year old when it was hit be two 500 lb bombs that day.

Fed Chair Ben Bernanke gives graduates hope...

   While speaking at a college graduation on Saturday, Fed Chair Ben Bernanke said that pessimists who are forecasting that the economy will not reap sizable benefits from the computer revolution are likely to be proven wrong.

    He told a group of graduates that the long-range practical consequences of innovations such as faster computers and the Internet are hard to predict, but that inventors have only scratched the surface.  He says the trick is be studying in the correct field for your future.
