   A disturbance was called to the Sheriff's Office from Williams Street in Murphys on June 6, 2013

San Andreas Town Hall for District 1 residents

   Supervisor Cliff Edson is hosting a town hall meeting in San Andreas on Wednesday June 19, 2013 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the San Andreas Town Hall on Church Street. .

Traffic Accident at Hwy 12 and Hwy 26

   At 1:21 PM on June 7, 2013 a traffic accident was reported at Hwy 12 and Hwy 26 at Toyon. A blue Volvo is involved. No injuries were reported.
   CHP is enroute to the scene. Use caution if driving in that area.

Murphys Sanitary District Board meets

   On Monday June 10, 2013 the Murphys Sanitary District Board of Directors meets at 9 AM at 90 Big Trees Rd in Murphys.

   The public is welcome to attend. 

Large White Dog on Hwy 4 at Poole Station Rd

   June 7, 2013:  A traffic hazard was reported to CHP at 1:11 PM at Poole Station Rd and Hwy 4 in Copperopolis, a large white dog is in the roadway.

   CHP is enroute. Be careful in that area.

Like California Politics...?

   If you like the intrigue behind the politics at the Sacramento State Capitol, you might like a new book written by Dianne Harman, "Tea Party Teddy".

   Dianne is the wife of forer senator Tom Harman, and she promises "political corruption, bribes, sex and intrigue, which all come together in the story of a newly elected Assemblyman.

   Harman says the names have been changed so as to protect the not-so-innocent.

Rand Paul makes sense?

    President Obama's press conference this morning was a good one. It is hard to believe, however, that the feds are only looking at numbers and duration, and that names are not associated with the data?

   Rand Paul says that Barack Hussein Obama would be among the first targeted on that list. That comment has merit, doesn't it? (one of the few)

Van hit and run by cement truck

  June 7, 2013 at 11:37 AM:   In West Point on Palmer off Jurs Rd. CHP reports that a caller says a yellow van was hit by a cement truck who then ran.

   CHP is enroute. No injuries were reported.

Dancing on the Highway?

  UPDATE:  Dancer removed from roadway as of 11:55 AM.

   June 7, 2013:  At 11:24 AM CHP received a call that someone is dancing on Hwy 4 at Blagen in Arnold. It's just going to be one of those weekends. We can feel it. Be careful out there!

CCWD (Calaveras County Water District) Rate Increase Meeting

   On Monday June 10, 2013 CCWD will hold an open meeting at Independence Hall to explain and answer questions about their newest rate increase to Arnold area residents.

   It will be held at Independence Hall at 6:30 PM. See you all there!!

American Graffiti Weekend in Modesto

   This is American Graffiti Weekend in Modesto.  There will be cruising on Modesto streets and classic cars from all over the west.

  This is the 40th anniversay of the movie and George Lucas will be parade marshall this year. Should be lots of fun in the town that started it all.

   Russian President Putin stood next to his wife Lyudmila yesterday and announced to the press that they have decided to divorce.

   They are not currently living together, but Putin has money, so the settlement is probably a pricey one.

Today is the day our President meets with China's President

   Here in California, in a more relaxed atmosphere at a desert retreat, President Obama meets with Chinese President Xi Jinping in an unscripted summit.

   Interesting to know is that President Xi Jinping's son attends Harvard University.

Conspiracy to FIX price of chocolate?

   In Canada Nestle, Mars and Hershey companies have been charged with conspiring with others to FIX the price of chocolate, according to authorities there.

   Although they claimed innocence and said they would "vigorously defend" themselves, Canada's Competition Bureau said in a statement that Hershey Canada was expected to plead guilty later this month for its role in the conspiracy.
