Cops shoot at each other at Campground

Courtesy of Bob O'Connor of
 CalFire News
Turns out that two neighboring campers at a Chino campground who argued about loud music and
then ended up shooting at each other after becoming inebriated, were both cops, but didn't know they were colleagues.

In fact, it was discovered that they are both Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies, who were off-duty and drinking heavily at the campground.  No one was hurt, fortunately, but they both have a lot of explaining to do.

They were both arrested for negligent discharge of a firearm.

Grand Jury responses still Questionable

At September 10, 2013 Calaveras Supervisors meeting, the responses to the Grand Jury are again up for a vote.

We find that they are badly written, in poor English, even with incomplete sentences and do absolutely nothing to show that this Board of Supervisors is transparent or that they want to fix the problems at the County, especially with the CIO department.

If Chair Callaway wrote or approved of these responses then she should be removed as Chair immediately and replace with a Board member who is not afraid to allow the voters to see what is actually happening at County offices. Instead of transparency, there is currently secrecy, avoidance and obvious incompetence.
