Local Runner Saves Arnold from Fire--Illegal campers--OUR HERO!

  A regular runner, Jon Faust,  who uses the Rim Trail in Arnold for his exercise is credited with saving the town of Arnold yesterday morning. Illegal campers started an illegal campfire and left it.

put it out with sleeping bags and other material, but was unsuccessful.

  Then he ran all the way back up the hill into town and called Cal Fire.  Many in the town of Arnold are calling him a hero today, especially in the local True Value.  Jon is definitely a hero!! 

  CalFire reports that due to Jon's quick action they were able to
extinguish the fire and limit it to about a 30' s 30' patch.
