As of July 1, 2014 the mandatory restrictions for the drought have been issued by CCWD. They are:
Absolutely NO watering on Sundays
Even numbered addresses may water Monday, Wednesday and Friday, before 10 AM and after 6
PM only.
Odd numbered addresses may water Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, before 10 AM and after 6 PM only.
NO filling or re-filling of POOLS or Hot Tubs
NO filling or re-filling of fountains unless to keep aquatic life alive.
NO water is allowed for cleaning decks or other surfaces outdoors.
The first time a violation occurs, a warning will be issued. Then a misdemeanor 31029. If convicted, a person could be put in jail or fined up to $600, or both.
Is the county taking this information into account for the Housing Element? The Housing Element June 2010, page 5-62 states: WATER In general, there are adequate supplies of water to meet the needs of existing and near-future domestic water needs, but a lack of infrastructure to deliver it.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened? There has been no growth of housing development. That was expressed during budget hearings. Thanks to the 40 acres & a mule rule and the denial of Castle & Cooke's Sawmill Project Where did all the water go that was expressed as adequate supplies?
