CHP report of Hwy 4 Accident

   According to CHP on March 31, 2014 around 7:05 PM Renee Smith (62) of Arnold was driving a 2006 Toyota Highlander eastbound on Hwy 4

Traffic Accident in Valley Springs

   According to CHP at 7:40 AM on April 1, 2014 Sherry Grundy (60) of Valley Springs was driving west bound on Hwy 12

PG&E will be charged

   It was four years ago, in 2010 that an explosion ripped through a Bay Area neighborhood. Now the Federal government says that PG&E will face felony charges.

   Also will be a $6 million fine for the gas line rupture that killed 8 and destroyed an entire neighborhood of homes. Some believe that is not enough, however.

Passengers cleared of Hijack of 370

   Investigators this morning have announced that all passengers aboard the missing Malaysian Airliner 370 have been cleared of possible hijacking.

  They did not state that the pilots and crew are also cleared. Will they ever find the missing jet?

Chains Required on Hwy 4

    April 2, 2014:   Chains are now required on Hwy 4 at Forest Meadows after a traffic accident occurred at the Red Apple. 

  Staying out of the Ebbetts Pass area is the best suggestion for today, until the roads can be cleared.

Traffic Accident at Red Apple

     April 2, 2014:   A traffic accident that occurred at around 7:10 AM on the curve at the Red Apple on Hwy 4 is causing problems, as two cars on in the westbound lane.

  An ambulance is en route to the scene and emergency personnel are directing traffic around the accident.  Use extra caution in Ebbetts Pass, as conditions are ICY!!!
