Low Turn-out for McClintocks water summit

Very few people attended the water summit put on by Congressman McClintock at the Tuolumne County Fairgrounds last week.

One told us " was just a bunch of tea party campaigners, routing up for him."  There were less than 50 people in the entire room.   Apparently this was not about water, but about hitting environmentalists for not wanting more clear-cuts and dams.

Secret Service Chief Resigns

After a day of berating by Congress over the Presidents security, Julia Pierson, Secret Service Chief, has resigned.

He could get life without parole when he is sentenced. He took the stand in his own defense. His fiancĂ© was watching from inside the shop at the gas station. A lot of her reaction is on video.

We'll always remember the Emmersons/for clear-cutting

How does it feel to OWN a political party?

Thin skinned Kochs,  who control
everything the Republican Party does
or says.
The Rolling Stones magazine ran a story/expose' of the Koch Brothers and their takeover of the Republican Party this month.

This photo is of David Koch, who does not handle criticism or scrutiny very well. Nasty attitude for one who owns and controls the entire Republican Party (the money).

Now you know why so many of us have become Independents or No Party Preference.

Proposition 47 will NOT make neighborhoods and schools safer

I have worked in Calaveras County law enforcement since 1998, and in just over twenty years of working as a cop, I have been fortunate enough to never feel the need to write an op-ed piece on any pending legislation.  Until now.
