Piedmont, California is actually a suburb of Oakland. In California, the median household income is $61,000 but in Piedmont, the median household income is $207,000 a year, the highest in the whole state.
Not sure if this includes the Oakland Hills area.
The Oakland Hills touch the eastern border of Piedmont, California and include a section of the Claremont neighborhood, the northern part of which lies within the city of Berkeley.
