Anti-Vaccine Church hit with Measles

   In Texas, Kenneth Copeland's Ministries is big!  And Copeland has been verbally anti-vaccine within his congregation.

   Well, now that 10 have been confirmed with Measles and the state of Texas has issued a warning, his church is suddenly offering free Measles vaccines.  Now that's a good one!

Brian Williams apologizes--Is that why the ads?

   Lately it seems that Brian Williams ads are all over NBC, promoting the honest, reliable anchor of NBC News.

   Now it seems that the reason for the promos is due to the fact that Williams was called out by the military in a "fib" about being shot down in a military helicopter in Iraq.

   He publicly apologized, saying it was his memory that was bad about the incident; that another helicopter had been hit an hour before his arrived.

   UPDATE  February 6, 2015 at 11:55 AM:  We just got off the phone with George Runner's office in Sacramento. His Chief of Staff called to let us know that they have pulled the BOE investigators out of Calaveras County   

Meth found in Angels Police traffic stop

   According to Angels Camp Police, on January 28, 2015 at around 10:30 PM, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a Chevrolet pickup for expired registration on Bret Harte Road near Booster Way

Calaveras "right-wingers only" Board meets on Tuesday

   On Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 9 AM the Calaveras "right wing Christian only" Board of Supervisors meets for prayers.

   Prayers for all the rest of the "sinners of Calaveras:  will be led by Pastor Cliff Edsel, followed closely by Pontiff Ponte. Who knows if there will be any time for business!

Son pleads not guilty to slaying wealthy father

   Thomas Gilbert, Jr. has plead not guilty to the alleged slaying of his father, wealthy financier and owner of  Wainscott Capital Partners, Thomas Gilbert, Sr.

   Police in Manhattan allege that the 30-year-old son killed his 70-year-old father in an argument over his allowance in the father's eastside Manhattan apartment.

Semi and black BMW collide on Hwy 99

     February 6, 2015 at 10:15 AM:  A big rig semi and a black BMW have reportedly collided on SB Hwy 99 at South Ave. in Turlock.

   No injuries have been reported, but use extra caution if headed for that area until CHP can clear the roadway.

Citizens hold DUI driver for Angels Police

   According to Angels Camp Police, on January 31, 2015 around 9:15 PM  they were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Main Street for a report of a vehicle that had hit a building and the driver leaving the area.

Burglary Arrest in Valley Springs

   According to the Calaveras Sheriff, Sandy Arlene Sims (47) was arrested at her residence on Denim Court on February 5, 2015 for alleged 2nd Degree Burglary, a felony.

   Sims was booked into the Calaveras County Jail.

Trailer blocking Hwy 99

   February 6, 2015 at 8:50 AM:  A tow truck has been dispatched to Hwy 99 and Crows Landing Road in Modesto to remove a large trailer that is blocking the slow lane.

   CHP and fire are at the scene. Use extra caution until they can clear the roadway.

4 car collision in Modesto

   February 6, 2015 at 8:45 AM:  CHP is still at the scene of a 4 vehicle accident at Hwy 219 and Tunson Road, just outside Modesto.

   An ambulance and tow truck are responding. Debris is all over the roadway. Avoid the area until they can clear.

Take your umbrella

   It feels warm outside, but a "pineapple express" type storm is headed into the Mother Lode.

   Be extra careful driving once the roadways get wet and take your umbrella.

Traffric Hazard on Hwy 26

   February 6, 2015 at 7:15 AM:  A traffic hazard has been reported on Hwy 26 at Humbug near Wilseyville.

   CHP is en route. It isn't yet clear what the hazard is, but be extra cautious in that area.
