Rand Paul "Audit the Fed" bill

   Again Rand Paul has introduced an "Audit the Fed" bill to Congress. He and many others feel that the American public has a right to know what the Fed is doing. Very interesting....

   However, the FED and others, including the President, say that it would not be in the best interest of the people for them to know details of what the FED is doing.  They feel it would then be politicized, instead of having decisions made on economic importance.

Rosie O'Donnell leaving "The View" for children

    After the breakup of her marriage, Rosie O'Donnell is apparently leaving "The View" to give attention to her children.

   O'Donnell just rejoined the show last summer after quitting over other issues in previous years.

14 lb. baby's dad says. "he's a linebacker"

   A mom in Florida gave birth to a 14.1 lb baby, which was a record size for the hospital.  The parents didn't even know she was pregnant until the 3rd trimester.

   The baby's father says, he's a "linebacker in the making".

Clippers' Chris Paul fined $25,000

   After the Clippers loss to the Cavaliers, Chris Paul criticized the female referee, stating that maybe she didn't belong in their league.

   Later on, the NBA fined the Clippers player $25,000 for his comment.

Five vehicle crash on Hwy 99

   UPDATE:  No injuries were reported in this crash.

Calaveras Supervisor Special Meeting

  On February 11, 2015 at 12:30 PM the Calaveras Supervisors will hold a Closed Session Special Meeting to appoint a new Public Works Director.

   This is most likely due to the fact that so much of their regular meeting time is taken up with prayers from our extremist religious Supervisors Pontiff Ponte and Pastor Edsel.

Gunshots, explosions in San Andreas

   On February 6, 2015 between around 2:30 PM and 10:45 PM 7 different reports of gunfire or other type explosions were reported to the Calaveras Sheriff's Office.

     This was all around the area of Russell Lane, where some people were seen outside of apartments in that location.  The Sheriff took no report in any of the 7 calls.

Two arrested at Black Bart Inn

   On February 6, 2015 at approximately 9:20 AM Calaveras Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Shawn Hinman (30)  of Valley Springs at the Black Bart Inn in San Andreas for allegedly Defrauding

Major Injuries in Hwy 26 crash

   February 7, 2015 at 9:30 AM:  CHP is just clearing a traffic collision at Hwy 26 and Wimer, on a bad curve, just below Rancho Calaveras.  Hwy 26 was closed for awhile, but is now reopened, per CHP.

    An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene and the injured had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire personnel.  CHP indicates the person has major injuries.

Car into creek in Mountain Ranch

   February 7, 2015 at 9:15 AM:  A red car ran off of Sheep Ranch Road near Mountain Ranch Road and into the creek in Mountain Ranch.

   An ambulance and other emergency personnel are responding to the scene.  Be careful on the wet roads--slow down!

Car vs tree in Lodi

   February 7, 2015 at 7;20 AM:  A vehicle reportedly hit a tree on Live Oak Drive near Hwy 99 in Lodi.

   CHP is en route. It isn't yet known if there are injuries. Nothing is blocking the roadway.

Boulder on roadway in Sonora

   February 7, 2015 at 7:10 AM:  A boulder has been reported in the roadway at Lyons Bald Mountain Road and Scattergood Road in Sonora.

   CHP is en route. Use extra caution if headed for that area.
