CCWD imposes severe rules on Water--Don't forget your day!!

   Effective May 13, 2015 CCWD imposed all kinds of new rules for use of water in Calaveras County.

   1.) All customer owned

Hit and Run in Hughson

   June 7, 2015 at 5:10 PM:   A driver hit a sign near the canal on Pioneer Street in Hughson and jumped out and took off running through a field.

   CHP and the Sheriff's Office are investigating.

Three vehicle crash in Jackson

   June 7, 2015 at 5 PM:  Three vehicles have collided at Ridge Road and Hwy 88 in Jackson, one of them was pulling a fifth-wheel.

   CHP is en route to the scene. Attempts are being made to clear the vehicles from the roadway. Be extra cautious if in that area.


Vehicle in creek in Escalon

   June 7, 2015 at 4:45 PM:  Two vehicles crashed and one car ran off Hwy 120 near Seidner Road in Escalon and ended up in a foot of water in the nearby creek.

   An ambulance and tow truck are en route to the scene. Use caution if in the area.

Traffic Collision on Hwy 88

  UPDATE:  No injuries have been reported in this collision per CHP. The vehicle will be towed out of the ditch.

   The San Fransciso Giants play the Philadelphia Phillies today in Philadelphia. The game will be shown on

Oakland A's still in Boston

   The Oakland A's play the Red Sox in Boston again today.  They are still in last place in their division.

   The good news is that the woman who was hit in the face with a broken bat is now expected to live.
