Supervisor Kearney tries to get Publc Works to buy from FORD's Asphalt plant!

   During an agenda item with the Calaveras Public Works department getting approval to buy $500,000 worth of asphalt from George Reed and $90,000 worth of auto parts from Calaveras Auto, was challenged by several people in the audience.

Farm Equipment hits power pole

   August 14, 2015 at 10 AM:  A farm vehicle hit a power pole in the 11,000 block of Eight Mile Road, near Hwy 88 in Clements. No wires are in the roadway.

   Emergency vehicles, including an ambulance, are en route to the scene. Be extra cautious if you are heading that way.

UPUD (Murphys Water) Board meets

   On Wednesday August 19, 2015 at 7 PM the Union Public Utility District (UPUD) meets in Murphys at their office on Main Street.

   On the agenda is an application to transfer irrigation services from the Andersons to the Bottomleys, a proposed expansion project at 350 Main in Murphys by Michelle Plotnik (architect) for Ariana and Erik Kruger, a potential drought surcharge adoption and the 2015-16 budget.
