Tree down on Parrotts Ferry Road

    October 22, 2015 at 2:25 PM:  A tree has been reported down on Parrotts Ferry Road at Natural Bridges, outside Vallecito.

   CHP and Public Works has been notified. Use extra caution if in that area.

Cows on Rawhide in Jamestown

   October 22, 2015 at 1:20 PM:  Two cows are reportedly on Rawhide Road and Peppermint Creek Road in Jamestown.

   Apparently cars are speeding through that area. CHP is en route to the area.

Traffic collision on Hwy 49

   October 22, 2015 at 12:15 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 49 near the Calaveras Airport.

   Emergency personnel are responding where one vehicle rolled over and landed off the roadway near the San Domingo Bridge and Carol Kennedy Drive. Use extra caution if in the area.

More suicides possible due to Butte Fire devastation

    At least one person is known to have committed suicide after the Butte Fire moved freely through Calaveras County, destroying his home.

   The New York Mets swept the playoffs, beating the Chicago Cubs four games in a row last night.

   The Mets will go to the World Series and the Cubbies will have to wait yet another year.

Wayne Brown abruptly resigns from Mind Matters

   In a surprising move only 3 months into his tenure, the Executive Director of Mind Matters in Murphys has resigned.

   In an email to the Board, Wayne Brown cited pressing family issues. The Board will meet October 21, 2015 to discuss a temporary replacement.
