Three car collision in La Grange

   November 2, 2015 at 12:30 PM:  A three car collision was reported on Merced Falls Road at Coronado Drive in La Grange,  with one car then rolling over into a field.

   CHP is en route. It isn't yet known if there are injuries. Use extra caution if in that area.

Getting colder--chains required at Cottage Springs

   As this storm gets colder, snow is creeping down Hwy 4. Now chains are required at Cottage Springs in Calaveras County.

   Chains are required on Hwy 88 just above Peddlar Hill in Amador County to Woodfords in Alpine County.

   Sonora Pass is now closed on Hwy 108 in Tuolumne County. Tioga Pass is also closed on Hwy 120.

Angels Camp City Council meets tomorrow--CCWD selling water from Melones

  In Amador County on Hwy 88 chains are now required on all vehicles without 4 wheel drive from Kirkwood to Picketts Junction.

Law and Order's Fred Thompson dies

   A US Senator for 8 years, turning actor, Fred Thompson has died. He was 73 years old.

   He is best remembered for his role for years on the TV show Law and Order. He suffered from Lynphoma.

Kansas City Royals win big!

   In another long World Series game, the Kansas City Royals added 5 more runs in the 12th inning to beat the NY Mets last night.

   It was 2-0 Mets until the Royals came back to tie the game, sending it into overtime. The Royals are the winners of the 2015 World Series in 5 games.

Ebbetts Pass Closed --Drive carefully!

   November 2, 2015 at 5:30 AM:  Ebbetts Pass is closed at the Mt. Reba turnoff on Hwy 4 this morning.

   Although this is a warm storm, snow could reach the 5000' level during the day. Drive carefully, as the roadways are very wet.
