FBI arrests three for "Race War" plot

   Three white supremacists, Robert Curtis Doyle,  Ronald Beasley Chaney and Charles Daniel Halderman were arrested in Virginia yesterday for an alleged attempt plot to start a

Traffic Collision in Copperopolis

   November 11, 2015 at 2:45 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Spangler Avenue, in front of the Pay Less in Copperopolis.

   No injuries have been indicated in the collision. Use caution if in that area.

Boring debate?? Miss "The Voice" live performances??

  Overall, the FOX Business channel debate last night was extremely boring. The commentators were not allowed to ask any of the real questions; about guns, women's rights, George Bush's debacle, etc.

Planning Commission cancels meeting

   The Calaveras County Planning Commission has cancelled its scheduled and agendized meeting for tomorrow, November 12, 2015.

   No specific reason has been given for the cancellation. Their next meeting will be held on November 19, 2015 at 9 AM in the Board of Supervisors Chambers in San Andreas.

Calaveras Arts Council store open for holidays

   The Gallery Store for Calaveras Arts is located at 22 Main Street in San Andreas. Many artists have items on display and for sale as holiday gifts.

   The store is open on Tue. and Thurs. from 11 AM to 6 PM and on Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Overturned big rig on Hwy 120

   UPDATE:  No injuries were indicated in this collision, but 40,000 lbs of almonds have to be reloaded into another truck.

Woman arrested near Bear Valley

   On November 10, 2015 the CHP arrested Ledia Maria Hardy (35) address unknown, on Hwy 4 near Bear Valley.

   Hardy was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Evading a Peace Office without regard to Public Safety, a felony and for Battery on a Peace Office during an emergency and Obstructing or Resisting Arrest, both misdemeanors.
