Chains required on Hwy 4

      Caltrans just put up a chains required notice on Hwy 4, just 3 miles east of Murphys, but we haven't seen or heard of any snow in that area yet.

   Perhaps they are expecting it soon.

    That's forest meadows. no snow here yet but it's getting colder
