Multiple vehicles stuck in snow in Tuolumne County

   January 6, 2016 at 8:05 PM:  One vehicle crashed into an embankment and many more are reported stuck in the snow at Tuolumne Road and Soulsbyville Road in Tuolumne County.

   There is also a red Forestry truck stuck in the snow in the Phoenix Lake area.  Do not go to the mountains tonight without chains. Snow is falling at around 3000' in Calaveras and Tuolumne counties.

DUI collision at Pine Grove Market

   January 6, 2016 at 8 PM:  A traffic collision reported on Hwy 88 at at the Pine Grove Market in Pine Grove.

   Apparently one person was suspected of having been drinking in this incident. No injuries were indicated.

Mud, Dirt, Rock Slide on Parrotts Ferry Road

   January 6, 2016 at 7:50 PM:  A mud, dirt and rock slide has been reported on Parrotts Ferry Road near Moaning Cave Road.

   Be extra cautious until a crew can arrive to clear the roadway.

Chain control at Forest Meadows

   January 6, 2016 at 10 AM:  Chain control has been moved to Forest Meadows above Murphys on Hwy 4.

   Take chains if you plan to go play in the snow.

Tree down on Quail Oaks Lane

   January 6, 2016 at 9:50 AM: A tree has been reported down on Quail Oaks Lane and Covey Lane, just off Hwy 26 in Valley Springs.

   Be cautious until a crew can get out there and move it out of the roadway.

Arrest for Vehicle Theft in San Andreas

   On January 5, 2016 Calaveras Sheriff's deputies noticed a suspicious car and after investigating, arrested Ricardo Landavazo (41) of Mountain Ranch on Sunset at Russell Road in San Andreas.

   Landavazo was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Vehicle Theft and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, both felonies and for Possession of Concentrated Cannabis and Possession of Marijuana, both misdemeanors.

Traffic collision in Ione

   January 6, 2016 at 9:35 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported at Hwy 88 and Jackson Valley Road in the Ione area.

   CHP and other emergency personnel are en route to the scene. Be careful if headed in that direction.

Overturned vehicle in Jamestown area

   January 6, 2016 at 9 AM:  A vehicle rolled over and is on its top on Hwy 49 at Sims Road in the Jamestown area.

   An ambulance is en route to the scene. Use extra caution if headed that way.

Tree down on Pool Station Road

   January 6, 2016 at 8:55 AM:  A tree has been reported down in the roadway at Pool Station Road and Church Hill Road in San Andreas.

    Be extra careful if in the area. County crews have been dispatched to clear the roadway.

Are the Bundy's simply Domestic Terrorists??? Friends of late Sheriff Kuntz???

    After yet another takeover by the Bundy family of Federal lands, the question has to be asked, "Are the Bundy's actually Domestic Terrorists??" This morning they were asked if they will shoot Federal authorities....

Chains required in Arnold

      January 6, 2016 at 8 AM:  It is snowing in Arnold and chains are required on Hwy 4. Drive carefully if you must travel to snow country today.

   Do not come to the mountains without chains. The county roads are not cleared enough to travel on without chains or 4 wheel drive.

   January 6, 2016 at 6:40 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported at Hwy 26 and Paloma Road in Paloma.

    An ambulance and CHP are en route to the scene. Use extra caution if headed for that area.
