Sacramento City website crashes

   Early this morning the City of Sacramento lost its website, a week after "Anonymous" threatened the act if they didn't allow the homeless to camp.

   It is now back up and administrators said it is totally normal again. Was it the "anonymous" people who caused it?

Scoundrels and crooks DO win elections!!

   Calaveras Supervisor (Freaky Pastor) Edson keeps trying to tell the public that he is making the Sheriff position appointment difficult to make sure that the best person wins. He stated that the Sheriff is he "example", the person that sets "policy" in the Sheriff's department. HUH??

    He knows as well as the rest of us that there are "Scoundrels and Crooks" who win elections and that Calaveras Sheriff Kuntz was anything but a good example for his deputies, so SHUT UP, Edson!!

Large boulder on Hwy 26

   January 19, 2016 at 2:55 PM:  A large boulder has been reported on Hwy 26 near Woodhouse Mine Road between Glencoe and West Point.

   Caltrans crews are en route to the scene. Be careful until they can clear the roadway.

Vehicle rolls on Burson Road

   January 19, 2016 at 2:35 PM:  CHP was called to Mark Twain Hospital where a young driver had been taken by her family after rolling a vehicle on Burson Road near Hwy 12.

   The vehicle landed on its wheels and was driven to another location. The driver suffered minor injuries. 

Tea Party Sweetheart endorses....

   Known by many as the sweetheart or darling of the Tea Party, Sarah Palin has decided to endorse Donald Trump for President.

    We don't know if Ted Cruz is upset or not. Seems that the biggest wackos follow the biggest wackos! Democrats are also cheering for Trump to win the nomination.

Amador LAFCo to meet

   On January 21, 2016 the Amador County Local Area Formation Commission will meet at the Board of Supervisors Chambers in Jackson.

     The meeting begins at 6 PM and the Jackson Valley Irrigation District and the Jackson Rancheria are both on the agenda, along with the election of 2016 officers.

Traffic collision on Hwy 108

   January 19, 2016 at 11:45 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 108 and Soulsbyville Drive in Soulsbyville.

   It isn't yet known if there are injuries. Be extra cautious if headed that way.

Power poles down in Oakdale

  January 19, 2016 at 11;40 AM:  Power poles are reportedly down on Hwy 120 near Valley Home Road in Oakdale.

   CHP is at the scene. PG&E has been notified. Avoid the area if possible until cleared.

Three trees down in Escalon

   January 19, 2016 at 11:35 AM:  Three trees are now reportedly down on Lone Tree Road near Escalon Bellota Road in Escalon.

   Be extra careful if headed that way.

Lines down in Linden area

   January 19, 2016 at 11:30 AM:  Line have been reported down on Fine Road at Milton Road near Linden.

   PG&E has been notified. Use extra caution if headed that direction.

Hwy 12 flooding in Lockeford

   January 19, 2016 at 11:15 AM:  CHP received a report that it appears a resident on Hwy 12 in Lockeford is pumping water out of their yard and onto the roadway.

   CHP is en route to the scene. Be cautious if in that area.

Hwy 26 flooded in Rancho Calaveras

   January 19, 2016 at 11:10 AM:  Hwy 26 has been reported flooded at Lucas Lane in Rancho Calaveras.

   Calaveras County road crews are being kept busy today. Be careful in that area.

Tree down on Burson Road

   January 19, 2016 at 11:05 AM:  A tree is reportedly down on Burson Road at Southworth Drive in Burson.

   Be careful if headed in that direction. A county road crew will be sent to clear the roadway.

Mudslide on Obyrnes Ferry Road

   UPDATE:  Per CHP most of the roadway is now clear and passable.

Glen Jordan of White Pines

    Glenwood (Glen) Lorin Jordan of White Pines passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on January 13, 2016. He was 92.

    Glen was born on May 11, 1923 to parents Andrew F. and Kate (Reister) Jordan of Melones. 

Multiple vehicle collision on Hwy 99

   January 19, 2016 at 8:10 AM:  A multiple vehicle (at least 5) collision has been reported as now blocking the fast lane on Hwy 99 near Hwy 12 in Lodi.

   Tow trucks and CHP are en route to the scene. Avoid the area if possible until cleared.

Collision on Obyrnes Ferry Road

   January 19, 2016 at 8:05 AM:  A car reportedly left the road and hit the embankment at Obyrnes Ferry Road between the prison and the bridge at Lake Tulloch.

   CHP is en route to the scene. No injuries have been indicated. Watch for emergency vehicles in the area.

Chain control on Hwy 4

   January 19, 2016 at 8 AM:  Chains are required on Hwy 4 at Camp Connell this morning.  Drive carefully.

   Chains are required at Ham's Station on Hwy 88 and east of Long Barn on Hwy 108.

Deaths in Calaveras County

    On January 11, 2016 Sandra S. Jiminez passed away in Calaveras County. She was 55 years old.

    Glenwood L. Jordan passed away on January 13, 2016 in Calaveras County. He was 92 years old.
