Calaveras Sheriff: Flash Flood Watch

   The Calaveras Sheriff's Office is warning Calaveras County residents, especially those in the Butte Fire area, that tomorrow, January 29, 2016 could be a day of Flash Flood Warnings.

   Use caution if traveling in the burned areas to avoid being subjected to a flash flood.

Calaveras Sheriff's Office Volunteer vs. sign in Copperopolis

   January 28, 2016 at 2:45 PM:  A collision has been reported on Obyrnes Ferry Road and Spangler Lane in Copperopolis where a Calaveras Sheriff's Office Volunteer deputy has hit a sign.

   CHP is at the scene. No injuries have been indicated.

Early morning chase and crash in San Andreas

   Per CHP on January 28, 2016 at 3:30 AM David Hunter (55) of Pleasanton was driving a 1992 Ford Econoline southbound on Hwy 49 south of Red Hill Road in San Andreas at approximately 60 MPH while fleeing

James Woodson of Valley Springs

   James Arthur Woodson, born September 6, 1949 in Stockton, made his home in Valley Springs for the past 33 years.  On January 26, 2016 he died at home of natural causes at age 66.

Head-on Collision in Railroad Flat

   According to the CHP report, David Williams (44) of Railroad Flat was driving a 1990 Dodge Dakota eastbound on Railroad Flat Road west of Buchanan Way at an unknown speed.

   What Calaveras County needs now is ... love, sweet love!  Well, true, but we're not going to get it with the racists that have permeated out county and are poisoning our government.

Addicted to "Breaking Bad"??

   On Wednesday evenings the Sundance Channel is running back to back episodes of "Breaking Bad" and it seems many just can't get enough of this quality series, even in re-runs.

   Last night it was season 2 and those who had missed some episodes were extremely happy.  In the final episode of the night was the two jets colliding in the air and the stuffed animal falling into the pool.

The Three Tea Potties can do it all in Calaveras County

   We thought it was perfect when Calaveras Supervisor (Freaky Pastor) Edson got upset that the Three Tea Potties are now running all Commissions and Committees, at their own insistence.

Two arrested at Turner Park

  On January 27, 2016 the Calaveras Sheriff's Office arrested Christina Michelle Sharrah (25) of San Andreas around 12:45 AM at Turner Park.

   Sharrah was booked into the Calaveras County Jail

Cow on Olive Orchard Road

   January 28, 2016 at 8:10 AM:  Animal control has been notified about a cow out on Olive Orchard Road and Pleasant Oaks Road in Rancho Calaveras.

   Be extra careful if headed in that direction until roadway is clear.

Collision on Hwy 4 at Obyrnes Ferry Road

   January 28, 2016 at 8 AM:  CHP are in the process of clearing a traffic collision that occurred at Hwy 4 and Obyrnes Ferry Road in Copperopolis.

   Two tow trucks were required. Minor injuries were reported. Use extra caution until the roadway is clear.  

Cow on Hwy 108

   January 28, 2016 at 6:30 AM:  A cow has been reported on Hwy 108 near Tulloch Dam Road.

   CHP is en route, but use caution if in that area.
