According to Angels Camp Police on January 29, 2016 at approximately 9:20 AM, they received information from Bret Harte High School staff regarding a possible threat to shoot

Bicyclist killed on Farmington Road
Early in the morning of January 29, 2016 a bicyclist was reported dead at the scene of an apparent vehicle hit and run on Farmington Road near Hwy 99 in Stockton.
Authorities are investigating the case, and are asking if there are any possible witnesses.

Overturned car on Obyrnes Ferry Road
January 29, 2016 at 10 AM: A traffic collision has been reported on Obyrnes Ferry Road, near the bridge on the Tuolumne County side.
One vehicle has overturned and is blocking the roadway. No injuries have been indicated.

UPDATE: Apparently, we have learned that it was reported a student had a gun at Bret Harte High School so the Calaveras Sheriff went into a wild spin.
Tribute to Tim Russert
Morning Joe just did a short tribute to Tim Russert, the much loved and respected Meet the Press host who died a few years ago.
We well remember the shock and sadness of that day. There is no one can take his place. Joe Scarborough credits Russert with making Morning Joe famous. Really nice tribute.
