Traffic heavy on Hwy 4 west

   February 15, 2016 at 1:15 PM:  Ebbetts Pass and Murphys are emptying out of the three day weekend crowd, so be careful out there.

   Hwy 4 is crowded headed west. It will probably get even worse by this evening, as the skiers and wine tasters mostly all have to return to work tomorrow.

      The Resource Conservation Distict (RCD) that they are pushing DOES have taxes associated with it. They are lying if they say otherwise. Who do you really think is going to pay for yet another layer of government taking away your property rights??

Motorcycle down in Oakdale

   February 15, 2016 at 12 Noon:  A motorcycle and car have collided on Rodden Road and Hwy 120 in Oakdale.

   The motorcycle is down in the roadway. CHP and an ambulance are en route to the scene. Use caution if headed that way.

Overturned car in Atwater

   February 15, 2016 at 10:40 AM:  An overturned car at Hwy 99 and Atwater Boulevard in Atwater is reportedly causing a traffic backup.

   Three CHP units are at the scene and a tow truck and ambulance are en route, so use extra caution if in that area.

Calaveras LAFCo picks alternate member

      On February 22, 2016 the Calaveras LAFCo will meet at the Board of Supervisors chambers in San Andreas at 6 PM.

   On the agenda is selecting an alternate member for the Commission and status of the Resource Conservation District, being pushed by Supervisor (Bully) Edson.

Hundreds of thousands of voters ... gone!

   Presidential hopefuls are having quite a time locating voters in Nevada. It seems that hundreds of thousands who were foreclosed upon in that state are now nowhere to be found.

   That makes the lists of possible voters worthless and in many cases, they have to start their lists all over again.

Frogtown goes on the road--for $ 500

  The Calaveras County Fair is announcing that the Frog Jump will go on the road this year, appearing a special events, schools businesses and any other location requested.
