Suspicious person on Hwy 4

There was the most suspicious person on Hwy 4 in Ebbetts Pass awhile ago.  He was extremely obese, smoking a giant cigar and driving a red pickup, blocking a driveway, just barely off the highway.

It was a very unusual sight and one that had to be reported. If you can identify this person, please send an email. Receding hairline, scary looking man.  A photo was taken of this man, as he appeared to be up to something.

If your NON-profit lives off of FIREWORKS sales????

All types of fireworks cause fires!
Sometime in August the Calaveras Supervisors will be discussing fireworks in the county. Very interesting!!

While Ponte and Oliveira see them as an absolute threat due to fire, Supervisor Kearney intends to bring in his non-profits and fire friends to help him keep his job; they will not vote to recall him if he continues to allow FIREWORKS sales!

Tea Party Reinke complains: That means Calaveras is doing the right thing!

Oh, Stevie, I WUVVV you.
Let's both poop on the voters
together. Rankie is our HERO!!
The Tea Party leader Vickie Reinke, spoke at the Calaveras Supervisors meeting, thanking Supervisors Steve Kearney and Oliveira for supporting her anti-cannabis stance.

If Vickie Reinke and her friends Oliveira and Kearney are against this, then we know the County is doing the right thing by legalizing it.  Throw the Tea Potty

Elections explains Recall petition filing time

We had some questions about the way the Calaveras Elections department handled the recall petition of District 5 Supervisor Steve Kearney yesterday, June 27, 2016.

   According to Rebecca Turner,

Teeter Funds "SLUSH' funds in Calaveras County

The teeter funds (money collected on past due taxes, etc) used to be held for certain items in the County, but no longer.

Now, with a swish of the elbow, this money is used as a slush fund to help grow the county budget, especially when they are $8 million in debt.

Butte Fire victim: "No response from Calaveras Recovers"

UPDATE:  Supervisor Ponte was the only Supervisor to address Ms. Wilsons concerns. She will talk to the Board of Calaveras Recovers.

Finally, Rosenary Wilson speaks against FIREWORKS in Calaveras

Last year this time, the Calaveras Supervisors committed to considering a ban of fireworks in Calaveras County.

Rosemary Wilson asked during Public Comment why nothing had been done.  They never answered her question.

Thank you Rosemary!  You are right! If they cared about the county, they would have passed a ban on fireworks!

Mr. BIG POT speaks

Hey Ollie!  Let's go tie one
on together!
Mr. Big Pot McmAnus again ranted against cannabis farmers in Calaveras County, quoting Mr. Edson about why people are SUDDENLY saying they are afraid of their cannabis growing neighbors.

People tell us they would be more afraid of living next to MR. BIG POT and his tribe of Project members.

Edson has to continue campaigning at Board meetings

Calaveras Supervisor Edson could not allow District Attorney Yook to make a retirement recognition to Barbara Elden.

Afraid he might miss a photo op, he muscled his way into the speech and just can't seem to keep from his campaigning for re-election.

Suspicious looking characters reported on Mountain Ranch Road

On June 27, 2016 suspicious looking characters were reported in a parking lot on Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas.

It was apparently determined that it was the Tea Potty three: Calaveras Supervisors Kearney, Oliveira and Edson so no report was taken.
