Trump's Alzheimers appears to be getting worse

   After a big build-up in the Trump campaign with changes in campaign chair and bringing in Breitbart right wing writer Banner, people expected a pivot.

  Today, Trump made an appearance, but had to read every word from a pre-typed teleprompter, unable to remember even a few words.  It seems that many fear his Alzheimers symptoms are worsening under the stress of the campaign.

300 structures destroyed in Clayton Fire

  August 18, 2016 at 8 PM:  The Clayton Fire in Lake County is now 60% contained, but not before it destroyed 300 structures, 190 of them homes.

   What is California going to do about fighting fires, which will become even more prevalent as global warming overtakes us.  There has to be a way to stop these fires before they grow out of control.

Peggy Caccamo of Murphys

   Peggy Cacamo passed away on August 16, 2016 at Avalon in San Andreas. She was 90.

Collision in Linden

   August 18, 2016 at 3 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 26 at Duncan Road in the Linden area.

   CHP is en route to the scene. No injuries have been indicated.

Vehicle runs into church in Oakdale

   August 18, 2016 at 2:15 PM:  A vehicle has run into a church on Rodden Road in Oakdale.

  A woman exited the vehicle and is reportedly inside the church. No injuries are indicated. A tow truck is responding.

Fire on Hwy 4 in Angels Camp

   UPDATE at 11:45 AM:  The Stallion Fire is now contained.

Collision in Sutter Creek

   August 18, 2016 at 11:15 AM:  At traffic collision has been reported on Ridge Road and Running Gold Road in Sutter Creek.

   An ambulance and tow truck are responding to the scene. Use caution if headed that way.

Disgusting!! "Horny Male" dispatcher in Calaveras County

   August 18, 2016 at 10:40 AM:  We just heard a dispatcher (male) announce over the scanner that there was a "Dizzy Female" on Bartelink Drive in Valley Springs.

   He repeated it again,

Loaded cattle truck broken down in Pine Grove

   August 18, 2016 at 10:15 AM:  A fully loaded cattle truck is apparently broken down on Hwy 88 at lower Ridge Road in Pine Grove.

   Two CHP are at the scene and a big rig tow will be responding. Be cautious if in the area.

No Angels Camp Council elections in November

   Although three people on the current Angels Camp City Council are not running for re-election (Wes Kulm, mayor, never did run for his office), there will be no election in November.

Car vs. tree on Hwy 4

   August 18, 2016 at 9:20 AM:  A car has left Hwy 4 near Stallion Road between Copperopolis and Angels Camp and hit a tree.

  An ambulance is responding to the scene. Use extra caution if headed that way.

Truck with trailer stuck on Old Priest Grade

   August 18, 2016 at 9:15 AM:  A truck pulling a trailer is stuck on Old Priest Grade about half way up out of Jamestown, blocking traffic.

   CHP is en route to the area. Be extra cautious until a tow can arrive at the location and clear the roadway. the bears

Clayton Fire in Lake County: UPDATE

  As of August 18, 2016 at 8:30 AM the Clayton Fire in Lake County is nearly 4000 acres and is now 55% contained.

    Although they are indicating 268 structures destroyed, they warn the number may rise after they can get into the fire ravaged area to do a thorough count. Evacuations are still in effect.

CHP arrests Mountain Ranch man

   On August 17, 2016 around 10:10 PM a California Highway Patrol officer arrested Scott Alan Tracener (55) of Mountain Ranch on Rimrock Valley Road east of Swiss Ranch Road in Mountain Ranch.

   Tracener was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Evading a Police Officer with Disregard for Public Safety, a felony, and for DUI Alcohol/ Drugs, DUI over .08 and Hit and Run Property Damage, misdemeanors.

Blue Cut Fire UPDATE

  As of around 6:30 AM August 18, 2016 the Blue Cut Fire in San Bernardino County has burned 25,626 acres and is only 4% contained.

   They still have no number of homes destroyed by this fire, but 34,000 structures are still threatened and over 80,000 people have been evacuated.

   Calaveras County knows how you feel, as this brings back horrid memories of last September and the Butte Fire. The cause of the Blue Cut fire is still unknown.
