Right of Entry forms: You do NOT have to sign them!!

   Most everyone in Calaveras County is receiving "right of entry" forms from both Caltrans and some Sierra company for CalFire.

   You need to know that you cannot be compelled to sign these forms. They will give these public entities the right to do whatever they want to your land. Be careful and think before you sign you property rights away!!!

Overturned pickup in Copperopolis

   August 27, 2016 at 4:45 PM:  A  pickup has reportedly overturned on Littlejohn Road near Copper Cove Drive in Copperopolis.

   An ambulance is en route to the scene. Be extra cautious in that area as there is debris on the roadway.


Traffic collison at Pacifc Valley

   August 27, 2016 at 4 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 4 at Pacific Valley, above Lake Alpine.

   CHP is at the scene. Be cautious if headed in that direction.

Complaints about so-called Town Hall meetings in Calaveras

  After the recent barrage of so-called Town Hall meetings by Supervisor Oliveira and his buddy Sheriff DeBasilio (Kuntz Jr.) we have heard nothing but complaints. For example; the Dead Tree meeting everyone now says was nothing but a JOKE!!

Calaveras Supervisors approve aerial snooping

   At the August 30, 2016 Calaveras Supervisor meeting, they will approve a $50,000  contract to have the county aerial photographed, on everyones property.

   They are saying this is just for snooping on cannabis growers, but we all know how big brother works, and its not for US! 

Three vehicle collision in Salida

   August 27, 2016 at 11:15 AM:  A three vehicle collision has been reported on Hwy 99 at Hwy 219 in Salida.

   CHP is at the scene. Be cautious as one lane is blocked. Injuries are minor in this collision per CHP.

Traffic collision in Valley Springs

   August 27, 2016 at 10:20 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported at Hwy 12 and Hwy 26 in Valley Springs.

   CHP is at the scene. Minor injuries have been indicated. Two tow trucks are responding. Be cautious if headed that way.

Calaveras Supervisors hold night meeting-Prayers for Kearney and Edson!!

   On Tuesday, August 30, 2016 the Calaveras Supervisors will hold a night meeting in their board chambers in San Andreas.

   At 5:30 PM they will have a Closed Session and the regular meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 PM. This is after Supervisor "bully" Edson holds his prayer sessions for Kearney and himself to be re-elected.

   They need all the stupid prayers they can get!!!

Distracted driving causes Hwy 12 collision

   According to CHP on August 25, 2016 at approximately 12:05 PM Ana Bobrycki (17) of Valley Springs was driving a 2001 Toyota on Hwy 12 near Central Hill Road in the San Andreas area.

Mokelumne Fire grows

   As of August 27, 2016 the Mokelumne Fire located in Alpine County has grown to 200 acres.

   25 fire personnel are assigned to this fire, which the USFS says is a lightning strike that they decided to allow to burn, but are watching.  No structures are currently threatened.
