Many calls to Calaveras Sheriff from Murphys

   In addition to the arrests made by Calaveras Sheriff's deputies in Murphys over the weekend, they responded to many calls for assistance.

  Public Intoxication, several commercial alarms going off on Main Street, Disturbances and Suspicious persons. Looks like a good time was had by all??

Railroad Flat woman arrested

   On September 4, 2016 Calaveras Sheriff's deputies arrested Heather Jean Ausa Grimes (34) of Railroad Flat on Railroad Flat Road.

   Grimes was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance in Prison, a felony, and for Obstructing or Resisting a Peace Officer, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Disorderly Conduct due to Alcohol, in addition to outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Law Enforcement busy in Murphys

     Over the holiday weekend, Murphys was the place law enforcement was kept the busiest. Whether at Ironstone or on Main Street, alleged Disorderly conduct due to alcohol, Indecent exposure,

Smoke reported in Twain Harte

   September 5, 2016 at 9 AM:  Smoke was reported at Middle Camp Road near South Fork in Twain Harte.

   A water tender has been dispatched to the scene.

Calaveras Sheriff DiBasilio says: "Go get a real job!!"

   The newly appointing Calaveras Sheriff is traveling around the county holding meet and greet campaign rallies and stumping against cannabis regulation.

   In fact, at one rally, he even told a person who said he has a good job working for a cannabis grower, "Go get a real job!"  Shocking, but true!  He doesn't say that to the people who own wineries!! BOOZE is OK with DiBasilio, but not cannabis???
