Thank you Ana Navarro for your honesty--'Trump is a racist!'

   Ana Navarro, a regular on the CNN show with Don Lemon, called out Trump and his surrogates again, stating that he is a racist and bigot.

   When one of Trumps people tried to say she was insulting, she came right back and said that no, he is insulting and a racist and bigot.  Thank you Ana Navarro, a Republican who is one of the few being honest about Trump.

Head-on collision in West Point--Major Injuries

   UPDATE at 3:15 PM:  Per CHP this collision has resulted in major injuries.

Thomas William Stowe of Murphys

   Thomas William Stowe was born in Redding on April 8, 1942.  Husband, dad, grandpa, "papa", brother, uncle, cousin and friend - this "mountain of a man" passed away

Collision on Hwy 4

   October 5, 2016 at 12:50 PM:  A collision has been reported on Hwy 4 near Bonanza Mine Road near Copperopolis.

   CHP is at the scene. Minor injuries have been indicated. A tow truck is en route. Be extra careful in that area.

One colllision leads to another on Hwy 88

   October 5, 2016 at 12:10 PM:  A truck reportedly hit the embankment at Hwy 88 and Prevatali Road just outside Jackson, then got out of the car without putting the emergency brake on.

   The car rolled through a fence. A CHP was somehow involved in a spin-out following the initial collision, being right behind the truck.  Amador County Sheriff is also at the scene.

Car vs pole in Turlock

   October 5, 2016 at 11:35 AM:  A car has reportedly run off Faith Home Road and hit a telephone pole in Turlock.

   Emergency vehicles are responding to the scene. Avoid the area if possible.

Work continues on Hwy 4

   October 5, 2016 at 11:30 AM:  Work is continuing on Hwy 4 between Angels Camp and Copperopolis.

   Be extra careful if you head in that direction. Traffic is slow and there are delays. CHP is at the scene.

  The two 2016 Vice-Presidential candidates took the stage last night in the one and only debate between the two.

  It was very clear that Kaine (who is Catholic) and Clinton represent women's rights (especially that of choice). He stated that his religious beliefs

Ellen Irene Drinkwine of Valley Springs

   Ellen Irene Drinkwine of Valley Springs, passed away on September 30, 2016 at the age of 73.

  She was born to the late Ellsworth and Thelma Cady on January 21, 1943 in Stockton and attended St. Mary's High

Railroad Flat man arrested

   On October 4, 2016 Calaveras Sheriff's deputies arrested Brandon Dean Husted (21) of Railroad Flat at his residence on Garner Street.

   Husted was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Willful Cruelty to a Child and Violation of Probation, all felonies and for Battery with Serious Bodily Injury, a misdemeanor.

Overturned vehicle in Escalon

   October 5, 2016 at 9 AM:  CHP is en route to the scene of an overturned vehicle on Lone Tree Road and Van Allen Road in Escalon.

  An ambulance and tow truck are responding to the scene.
