In Calaveras County -- Cliff Edson lost-- but he doesn't get it

   The Calaveras District 1 Supervisor election would have been closer between Gary Tofanelli and Cliff Edson if only Edson hadn't been such a mean bully.

  He seems to claim that it was marijuana that cause him the loss!  He's sooo wrong!  It was his constant nasty and mean bullying for nearly 4 years that everyone was sick of.  Enjoy your new vocation, Mr. Edson.  Washing dishes and waiting tables!!

Two bulldogs hit on Hwy 4

   November 27, 2016 at 3 PM:  Two bulldogs that were reported on Hwy 4 near Stallion Way outside Angels Camp have been apparently hit.

   One was indicated at already dead and the other injured.  CHP was assigned to head to the area.  Be extra cautious if headed that way.

News from Dusty Costa, in prison for growing marijuana

   Many of you will remember some of the writings we published about a Calaveras High School grad from 1964, who was arrested and convicted of growing marijuana 11 years ago and has been in federal prison since that time.

Traffic collision in San Andreas

   November 27, 2016 at 10:55 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Main Street at Hwy 49 in San Andreas.

  It isn't known if there are any injuries. CHP is en route to the scene.

Raiders at home today

   The Oakland Raiders are 8 and 2 for the season and welcome the Carolina Panthers to town today for a 1:25 PM game.

  

49ers in Miami

   The San Francisco 49ers are in Florida today to play the Miami Dolphins.

   The Niners are 1 and 9 for the season.

Traffic collision on Hwy 49

   November 27, 2016 at 7;55 AM:  A vehicle has reportedly run off Hwy 49 near Tuttletown and into a ditch.  CHP is responding to the scene.

   It isn't yet known it there are any injuries. Drive carefully today if you have to go out.

Chains required on Hwy 4

   November 27, 2016 at 7:30 AM:  Chains are required on all vehicles without 4 wheel drive at Arnold on Hwy 4.

   Do not head for the snow country without carrying chains. Drive carefully and leave room in front of you to stop.
