Collision in Murphys

   January 19, 2017 at 11:40 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported in front of the Murphys Post Office on Big Trees Road in Murphys.

   CHP is en route to the scene. No injuries have been indicated.

Traffic collision in Sonora

   January 19, 2017 at 10:30 AM:  A white vehicle reportedly left Hwy 108 near Hwy 49 in Sonora and hit the embankment.

   Fortunately no injuries were indicated.  Be cautious if in that area.

Calaveras KKK Project heads to Inauguration

   Our regular source for the Calaveras KKK Project has told us that the new group has been getting money together and is heading for DC to watch their hero be inaugurated.

    Is it true that most of the same people who hold their meetings at Candyrock Gun Club are the same people in the local KKK club?  Oh, Dear!!!

Chains required east of Arnold

   January l9, 2017:  Caltrans is requiring chains on non-4 wheel drive vehicle on Hwy 4 east of Arnold.

   Be prepared if you head to the mountains.

Angels Camp man arrested

   On January 18, 2017  the Angels Camp Police arrested Joshua Charles Corbett Cowan (41) at his residence on Bret Harte Drive.

   Cowan was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Inflicting Corporal Injury on a Spouse, a felony.
