   On February 1, 2017 at 5:30 PM the Calaveras Council of Governments (CCOG) will meet in the Calaveras Supervisors Chambers.

   On the agenda is the 2017 Chair selection

CCWD fixes leak in Camp Connell

   CCWD has now repaired this mainline leak on Meko Drive in Camp Connell.


Wells Fargo Bank inspections?

   Hard to believe they ever had inspections, but the Corporate Office of Wells Fargo Bank now announces that they will not be notifying offices when they plan an inspection.

   Apparently up until now, they would give the banks and office a 24 hour notice, to clean up before arriving at any given location.

Letter to Sierra Sentinel: I'm so ashamed

   Dear Sierra Sentinel:

    I have to tell you that after Trumps Executive Order banning all those countries from possibly immigrating to the US and banning refugees, I am so ashamed.

Collision on Hwy 88

   January 28, 2017 at 10:45 AM:  A collision blocking eastbound lanes of Hwy 88 near Mormon Emigrant Trail has been reported.

   It isn't known if there are injuries. Tow trucks are en route to the scene.

   Surprisingly, the short video called Nazi Slip & Slide has now reportedly hit 100,000 views. Some watch it many times.

   They say its because of the shoe!! FunNNNNNy!

Rollover in Murphys

   January 28, 2017 at 10 AM:  CHP is still at the scene of a grey pickup that hit black ice and rolled over on Murphys Grade Road and French Gulch Road in Murphys.

   Drive carefully and slow down.  the ice is dangerous.

Grizzly Bowl opens today at Bear Valley

  Today, January 28, 2017 the Grizzly Bowl opens today at Bear Valley.

   Drive carefully on Hwy 4 and carry chains due to icy conditions up high.  Big crowds are expected at Bear this weekend!


Fire truck and pickup collide in West Point

   January 28, 2017 at 7:10 AM:  A fire truck and a pickup have reportedly collided at Hwy 26 and Woodhouse Mine Road in West Point.

    No injuries have been indicated and it is not now blocking the roadway.
