     Palm Beach County reports that they are trying to rescue the many abandoned dogs they have found tied up, put in boxes or otherwise just left outside to wait

Overturned pickup in Linden

   September 9, 2017 at 4:15 PM:  A pickup has reportedly overturned on Hwy 26 at Murray Road in Linden.

    CHP is at the scene. Minor injuries resulted from this crash.  Be cautious if in the area.

State of Jefferson racists packing up....

  Now that the State of Jefferson joke has come to an abrupt end, we hear the racists who support the White Separatist movement are packing up, leaving Calaveras.

   They are moving way up north, you know, called WHITE FLIGHT!!!  We understand what little land they own is on sale, cheap!!  Farewell and good night, racists!!  Everyone is sick of looking at your silly signs anyway!!

Collision in Copperopolis

   September 9, 2017 at 11:55 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported at Littlejohn and Quiver Streets in Copperopolis.

   No injuries have been indicated and it is not blocking the roadway.  CHP is en route to the scene.

The next Calaveras District 3 Supervisor....

   Who plans to run for Calaveras District 3 Supervisor in 2018 is not clear, except for Oliveira and most likely Callaway.

   What we know is that the will not be supporting ANYONE

Vehicle burglary and vandalism

   On September 8, 2017 a vehicle in Angels Camp on Hwy 49 was reportedly burglarized and vandalized. The Calaveras Sheriff's Office took a report.

   On Edster Street in Paloma it was reported that the tires were vandalized on a car.  No report was taken by the Calaveras Sheriff.


Vandalism in Murphys

   According to the Calaveras Sheriff a business in Murphy was reportedly vandalized on September 8, 2017.

   The Sheriff took a report.

Ticketed for riding snowmobile...

   Yes, according to the Calaveras Sheriff's report on September 8, 2017 a man was cited for riding his snowmobile...when there was no snow.

   Apparently concerned neighbors reported this activity at El Dorado and Rawhide in Arnold. Of course, it was about 10 minutes after midnight. He's going to have to wait a couple of months.

Jackson City Council to discuss tourism

  On Tuesday, September 11, 2017 the Jackson City Council will meet to discuss giving Amador County the right to create a tourist district in town.

   Also on the agenda is changing zoning on Court Street from Public to Historical. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 PM in Jackson City Hall on Broadway.

   Governor Tim Scott of Florida just gave a press conference on the status of Hurricane Irma, headed for Florida.

   On his left was a man giving the weirdest sign language we've ever seen.  Was this fake?? Even his facial expressions were hilarious. Seriously, Governor???
