   Trump has been repeatedly bragging that he has defeated ISIS and that it is only he who has been able to beat them.

  President Bush gave a speech this morning, condemning Trumps bullying and bigotry, stating it is dividing America.

  John McCain gave a similar speech a few days ago, stating how he felt about Trump without even mentioning his name.

AG Jefferson Beauregard Sessions says press not being arrested right away..

   At the Senate hearing on October 18, 2017 the Attorney General, who received a letter calling him Caustic and racist, was asked if they plan to arrest journalists for doing their jobs, or if he respected the First Amendment.

   Sessions replied "we have no plans to arrest them right away, but hold the right in the future". This is what Putin did when he first took over Russia. First, Trump needs to control the press to write only what he wants!

Caltrans closes passes on Hwy 4, Hwy 108, Hwy 120

  As of late this afternoon on October 19, 2017 Caltrans is closing Hwy 4, Hwy 108, and Hwy 120 over the passes.

   The closures are in anticipation of the coming storm this evening. Snow is expected down to around 6000'.

Breaking News: NO SCHOOL today in Calaveras Unified--STRIKE!!

   Apparently the teachers union and Calaveras Unified School District were unable to come to any temporary settlement in their contract dispute last night.

  As of October 19, 2017 Mark Campbell, District Superintendent has closed all schools. 134 teachers are now on strike.
