Cannabis ONLY item on Angels Camp agenda

   On Tuesday November 6, 2017 the Angels Camp City Council has ONE item on their agenda.

   The item is an emergency Urgency Ordinance regarding Cannabis in Angels Camp. . The meeting starts at 6 PM and will be held at the Firehouse.

Calaveras Supervisors Special Meeting

  On November 6, 2017 at 9 AM the Calaveras Supervisors will hold a Special Meeting to hold a hearing for an appeal of the Planning Commission's denial to John Mendoza for a cannabis operation.

   This is on Horseshoe in Copperopolis and there are a list of what many, including his attorney, consider ridiculous reasons why it was denied. Mainly it's the wacked-out right wing Supervisor Mills and his PC, (the one who has made racist comments about Mexicans)

Traffic collision in Angels Camp

  November 3, 2017 at 10:30 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Main Street in downtown Angels Camp.

   Emergency personnel are responding. Be cautious if headed that way.

Bergdahl won't go to prison???

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl will be dishonorably discharged from the Army, says a judge in the sentencing phase of his trial for leaving his post.

   He could have faced a prison sentence for putting his fellow soldiers in danger as they attempted to rescue him while he was with the Taliban. 

Crash on Poole Station Road

   November 3, 2017 at 9:20 AM:  A vehicle crash has been reported on Poole Station Road near Hwy 49 in San Andreas.

  CHP is en route to the scene. It isn't known if there are injuries.

Calaveras COG applies for new grant for Hwy 4

   Everyone knows how dangerous Hwy 4 between Copperopolis and Angels Camp has been for many years, with multiple serious collisions

Traffic collision in Clements

   November 3, 2017 at 8:30 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Clements Road in Clements; in front of the Post Office.

   No injuries have been indicated. CHP is en route to the scene.

Fresh rain smells wonderful

  If you walked outdoors early this morning, you noticed the fresh smell of rain in Calaveras County.

  The snow will be up high, but we need the rain to try and end the fire season. Thank you, dear Mother Nature!!
