Tree down on Winton Road

   November 17, 2017 at 11AM:  A tree is reportedly down on Winton Road and Hidden Valley Road in West Point.

  A crew has been dispatched to clear the roadway, but be cautious until its completed.

Chains required on Hwy 4

  Caltrans is requiring chains on all vehicles without 4-wheel drive on Hwy 4 at Tamarack in Calaveras County.

Snowing in Bear Valley

   The Bear Valley Ski Resort is scheduled to open the day after Thanksgiving, so get ready for all the snow fun you missed over the past few months.

Traffic collision in West Point

   November 17, 2017 at 10:25 AM:  A vehicle has reportedly run off Hwy 26 near the hardware store in West Point.

   CHP is responding to the scene.

The new Blagen Road bridge

The temporary bridge on Blagen Road in Arnold, is completed and
operating as a one-way bridge with a pedestrian walkway
on one-side. Be cautious to watch for cars coming the other way
as it does go up and then come back down over the creek.

Arrest at San Andreas DMV

      According to the Calaveras Sheriff, Aubrey James Allen (39) of San Andreas, was arrested at the DMV by a deputy.

   Allen was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged False Imprisonment with Violence, a felony, and for Indecent Exposure and Battery on a Spouse or Date, both misdemeanors.

Pedestrian struck by car in Sonora

   November 17, 2017 at 9:10 AM:  A pedestrian has reportedly been struck by a vehicle on Washington Street in Sonora.

   Emergency personnel are responding to the scene.

Car theft suspect arrested

   On November 16, 2017 a truck and trailer that had been stolen from the Linden Irrigation District yard, was recovered and a suspect was arrested in Paloma by the Calaveras Sheriff's department.

   Brett Earl Schmidt (26) of Modesto was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Trespassing, Resisting Arrest and Vehicle theft. Bail is set at $60,000.
