Thomas Fire largest in California history

   With each fire in the state, more records seem to be broken.  Now the Thomas Fire is 281,000+ acres with 89% containment.

   It has broken the record as the largest fire in the history of California. 1063 structures have been destroyed.

Two vehicles into the river

   At around 7:20 AM on December 27, 2017 a vehicle ran off Hwy 4 and into the river in Discovery Bay. This involved an overturned big rig and a PG&E pole.

  Then at about 2:30 PM another car has reportedly run off Hwy 4 and into the water nearby.  Minor injuries are indicated in the 2nd incident.

This mountain lion cub was finally rescued at the edge of the
Thomas Fire, burnt and dazed.  Hopefully, it will
make a full recovery. Many others simply did not survive
this fire!

  UPDATE at 10 AM:  A Calaveras building official has now been requested at this fire.

Singer files assault complaint against Lewandowski

  One of Trumps closest political supporters has been accused of assaulting Joy Villa, a singer who posed with him at a party at Trumps Washington DC hotel.

   She says Lewandowski struck her at least twice in the buttocks, and didn't stop even after she told him to leave her alone. Apparently this is not the first charges to have been brought on Lewandowski.
