Lava keeps spreading in Hawaii

   The lava just keeps coming down the hillside on the big island of Hawaii.

    As of today, 21 more homes have been destroyed by fire.  No one knows when it will stop.

Collision in Mokelumne Hill

  May 6, 2018 at 6:20 PM:  A collision has been reported on Hwy 49 at Hwy 26 in Mokelumne Hill.

   An ambulance has been dispatched to the scene. One vehicle rolled over down the embankment. Three are apparently injured. The intersection is blocked. Be cautious if in that area.

Big Trees Village Water back to normal

   After nearly a week of either no water or requirements to boil their water, CCWD has lifted all restrictions in Big Trees Village in Ebbetts Pass.

   About 50 customers  had been affected by a main pipeline break.  It has now been repaired and the water is back to normal.

Car vs. pole in Rancho Calaveras

   May 6, 2018 at 4PM:  A car reportedly struck a pole off Hwy 26 near Baldwin in Rancho Calaveras.

Traffic collision in Rancho Calaveras

   May 6, 2018 at 6:30 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 26 at Garner Place in Rancho Calaveras.

   No injuries have been indicated, but a tow truck has been dispatched to the scene.

Burning allowed, with Permits

  As of May 1, 2018 CalFire requires burn permits to burn outdoor yard waste in Calaveras and Tuolumne counties.

Firefighters dig to save swan....

   After getting a call from a retirement home that a swan is trapped inside a drainage hole, these firefighters spent quite a bit of time freeing the swan without permanent injury.
