HIstoric cabins lost in Donnell Fire

   We just learned that some wonderful old historic cabins and cow camps have been destroyed in the Donnell Fire.

   We are yet to learn the cause of this fire.

Collision in Burson

   August 10, 2018 at 2:45 PM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 12 at Southworth Road in Burson.

   Emergency vehicles are responding to the scene.

Tree down on Poole Station Road

   August 10, 2018 at 2:25 PM:  A large tree is reportedly down on Poole Station Road near Riata in the San Andreas area.

   Be cautious until the road crew can get out there to remove it.

Carr Fire update

  As of August 10, 2018 at 7 AM the Carr Fire is 181,496 acres with 1077 homes, 22 commercial buildings and 500 other structures like barns destroyed.

   Containment is listed at 49%.

Another fire in Shasta County

   A new fire is burning in Shasta County, near the town of Burney is named the Hat Fire. It is now 2500 acres and is 15% contained.

   Evacuations are taking place in the Glenburg Road and Fall River Mills areas.  Power is out in some sections, so be cautious and go to the center in Adin when  evacuated.

Meth Freaks run wild while DiBasilio cuts down pot!!! Have a drink!!

21,000 evacuated in Holy Fire

   The Holy Fire in Orange County has caused massive evacuations. 12 structures are known to have been destroyed overnight and 21,000 have been evacuated. It is only 5% contained.

   This is located in the Cleveland National Forest. No one is being allowed back into the area to check on or retrieve their small animals.  The video on CNN was horrific.

Donnell Fire update

  As of August 10, 2018 at 8:45 AM the Donnell Fire is 23,824 acres and is only 5% contained.

   Carson Iceberg Wilderness and Spicer Lake have been closed. Helicopters are using Spicer to get water.
