   A man came to the Calaveras Supervisors meeting on Tuesday August 21, 2018 and had tape across his mouth.

Why Special Meeting, no warning, to change rules?

   Calaveras Supervisors held a Special Meeting on Tuesday August 21, 2018 for the purpose of changing the rules of order for their meetings.

   People from the left and the right were present to complain that they are trying to force this through without public input and there was anger that it did not need to be a Special Meeting.

   On Tuesday August 21, 2018 the Calaveras Supervisors held a Special Meeting to change the rules for residents to follow at their Board meetings.

  The trouble started early, at Public Comment, when Chair Tofanelli and Supervisor Oliveira got into a tiff over Marti Crane's comment about night time meetings.


Runaway goats on the MTA

   Some goats escaped their pen and wandered onto the tracks of the New York Metropolitan Transit Authority tracks this morning.

   Fortunately, someone saw them before tragedy struck. They were tranquilized and taken home.

Calaveras Genealogical Society

   The Calaveras Genealogical Society will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Calaveras County Main Library in San Andreas.

   The topic of this meeting will be "Best case scenarios for copying and preserving your family photos" presented by Linda Trudeau.  The public is welcome to attend, there is no cost.

BREAKING NEWS!! Manafort convicted

   Trump's campaign chairman Paul Manafort was convicted on 8 counts by a Federal jury today.

   His convictions were on bank and tax fraud. 10 other counts were declared a mistrial.  Manafort faces yet another trial in Virginia.

Michael Cohen reaches deal with Mueller

   Trumps lawyer and FIXER, Michael Cohen, has reportedly reached a plea agreement with Robert Mueller in his case.

   He will plead guilty to various charges, including campaign finance violations.

Trump now says "I can run Russia investigation"

   Trumps tweets get stranger and stranger. There were around 15 of them yesterday and in one he said he didn't need Mueller, that "I can run the Russia investigation."

   He also tweeted "I have nothing to fear, I have done nothing wrong."  What a nut case!

Barnum and Bailey throws out the cages

   Animal Crackers boxes are changing. No longer will the Barnum and Bailey boxes show caged animals.

    The new boxes have the animals standing freely on the box.
