Delta Fire grows

   As of September 9, 2018 the Delta Fire in Shasta County is over 40,000 acres and is only 5% contained.  It was human caused.

   All Shasta-Trinity National Forest lands, roads and trails around the fire perimeter have been closed. Mandatory evacuations have been ordered along I-5 from exit 707 to exit 714.

Patriots on Dolphins team

   Two players on the Miami Dolphins were the first true patriots to take a knee in the new NFL season during the national anthem.

   On the 49ers, one player raised a fist.  Congratulations to being players who BELIEVE in something, like Colin Kaepernick.

Traffic collision on Hwy 88

   September 9, 2018 at 12 Noon:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 88 at Hams Station in Amador County.

   An ambulance is responding. The roadway is partially blocked.

Napa County fire quadruples in size

  Another fire in Napa County, the Snell Fire, has quadrupled in size, threatening structures and wildlife near the town of Middletown.

   It has burned 1900 acres and is only 10% contained. Evacuations are taking place in the area.

Unattended burn pile in Arnold???

   Hard to believe, but an unattended burn pile was reported in Arnold in the Lakemont area.

   Fire was extinguished immediately.  Jail time????

Tulloch Fire: Scare in Jamestown area

    The Tulloch Fire, at Hwy 108 and Tulloch Road in the Jamestown area, burned 500 acres on September 8, 2018 before forward progress was stopped.

   It is now 75% contained.
